Trānsitiō

Trānsitiō, tis he first immersive release in the series From Ecstasy to Trance, a deep sound journey into spirituality, and altered states of consciousness. Originally commissioned for Berlin’s Music Wanted and performed at a wide range of festivals and events—including Nameless Festival, the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Milan, Utrecht University, and LineCheck—Trānsitiō has captivated audiences across Europe with its spatial audio listening experience.

From Festivals to Your Living Room

Now, Trānsitiō is available for personal listening in multiple formats, including Binaural 3D Audio (FLAC/MP3) and Dolby Atmos (TrueHD/MP4). Designed for headphones and home theater systems, this release brings the immersive festival experience into your own space. Whether you experience it in its full 26-minute form or explore each segment individually, Trānsitiō adapts to your mood and moment.

A Journey Through Three States of Being

Trānsitiō consists of three distinct parts, each crafted for a different state of awareness:

  • Present Moment Awareness (The Now): A beatless ambient introduction, inviting you into a space of stillness and introspection.
  • Relaxing Bliss (Inward Focus): Soft, immersive textures guide you into a meditative state, promoting relaxation and inner clarity.
  • Transcendence (Outward Focus): A rhythmic ascent that builds energy, blending trance elements with shamanic influences for an outward expression of vitality.

As part of the From Ecstasy to Trance series, Trānsitiō delves into the role of sound in shifting emotional and mental states. Inspired by the research of ethnomusicologist Gilbert Rouget and Roland Fischer’s cartography of ecstatic states, this series bridges ancient sonic rituals with modern immersive technologies, offering listeners a transformative sound journey.

A Series in Motion

Trānsitiō is the beginning. The From Ecstasy to Trance series will continue to explore the intersection of sound and altered states, blending field recordings, ancient instruments, and cutting-edge spatial audio techniques.
